The Big Beach Biodiversity Survey

Citizen science actively involves the public in scientific research to create new knowledge or understanding in their local area. To equip people around Carlingford Lough with the tools to study their shore, Shifting Tides is teaming up with the National Biodiversity Data Centre and Ulster Wildlife for a Beach Biodiversity Survey workshop. We will look at the features used to identify creatures washed up on the tide and offer suggestions on identification resources so that participants can turn their sightings into scientific data.
