Citizen Science and Marine Ecology Symposium

Citizen science engages people with nature whilst having genuine scientific outcomes. It provides the knowledge and expertise for communities to gather information about their local marine environment and allows them to become involved with informed decisions about it. 

This event will be an introduction to some of the opportunities for people around Carlingford Lough to get involved with citizen science, and will give an insight to ways that communities across the island have utilised it in the protection and restoration of their own marine environments. It is open to people from all backgrounds and experiences.
